TCL QD Mini-LED: The Future of Big Screen Display
For the launch of TCL’s new QD Mini-LED technology, the challenge was to explain a highly technical innovation in a way audiences could easily understand — and actually want to keep watching — without losing the sophistication and futuristic quality expected from a flagship display technology.
Our solution was to turn the explainer into a world to explore. Instead of a stereotypical “male senior engineer / professor / scientist“ looking character, we envisioned a confident young woman as a futuristic host, inspired by the look of a female host Angela from HBO’s Westworld, walking through a dark, surreal, gallery-like space where display technology demonstrations and floating home environments coexist, allowing technical principles and real-life benefits to unfold within the same visual language.
By combining clear information architecture with cinematic spatial design, CGI and a premium visual tone, the film made complex technology feel accessible without making it feel simplified.
The result became more than a launch film. Well received by the client, it continued to be used for years across exhibitions like CES, corporate displays and channel partner presentations.
