Blazing Core is an advertising production studio based in Shenzhen, the “Silicon Valley” of China. We specialize in creating high-quality, visually striking video and graphic content, with particular expertise in cutting-edge VFX and 3D animation.

We have ongoing collaborations with international brands such as TCL, Huawei, Anker, Roborock, and Mindray, spanning industries including consumer electronics, smart home, smart mobility, and healthcare. Our campaigns are consistently innovative and memorable, helping brands reach global audiences.

Our team combines exceptional creativity with extensive international experience. We have shot on location in the UK, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Russia, and Thailand, supported by a network of overseas production partners, enabling us to efficiently bring creative ideas to life on a global scale.

BOYA LIU

Founder

As founder of Blazing Core, Boya has spent years leading commercial film projects across creative direction, directing and visual production. His multidisciplinary background in cinematography, VFX and post-production gives him a unified view of both concept and execution, with a focus on how visual ideas serve brand communication and audience perception.

Before moving into commercial filmmaking, he trained in Visual Effects for Film in the UK and worked at DNEG in London, contributing to Hollywood productions including Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. His work has received recognition from awards in China and internationally.

JIAMING “JM” ZHANG

Co-Founder / Head of Post-Production

With over 12 years in 3D animation and visual effects, JM is Co-Founder and Head of Post-Production at Blazing Core, overseeing post-production across the studio’s most complex commercial projects.

Known for his sharp visual judgement and deep production experience, he leads decisions across creative, craft and technology, from team structure and resource planning through to final delivery. With a strong instinct for visual rhythm, music and tone, he helps shape the overall feel of each project while setting the standard for visual quality across the studio.

Aliks Chen

CREATIVE LEAD | BRAND & GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS
Aliks spent nine years in Toronto working in scripted TV, indie film and documentary production before returning to China and branching into advertising. With a background in Film at Ryerson University, he brings a strong foundation in visual storytelling and production.
He leads creative development for international projects while shaping the company’s brand and global partnerships. His work bridges cinematic storytelling, commercial thinking and concept-to-execution.
Rossi Xiao

CREATIVE STRATEGIST
Originally from Pu'er and of Yi ethnicity, Rossi has a background in International Communications at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China. At Blazing Core, she works across creative strategy, concept development and brand storytelling.
Her work often carries a distinctly millennial sensibility, with a taste for dry humor, unexpected references and ideas that push against overly familiar advertising formulas.
Pattsing Chau

ART DIRECTOR | STORYBOARD ARTIST
With a background spanning Hong Kong animation, comics and game art, Pattsing now leads visual direction across film and advertising, overseeing art direction and execution from concept through production.
His work often blurs the boundaries between live action and animation, bringing hand-drawn elements, visual effects and real-world imagery together into a cohesive visual language.
Lingyun Weng

CREATIVE | IN-HOUSE DIRECTOR
With a filmmaking background from London Film School and Communication University of China, Lingyun works across creative development and directing for commercial projects. His experience includes campaigns for global consumer technology brands, where he brings a narrative-driven approach to turning product stories into engaging visual ideas.
Hiken Li

CREATIVE
Hiken works across creative development and pre-production for commercial films, with a strong instinct for social content and an understanding of platform culture and online behavior. With interests in gaming, music and technology, he stays tuned to youth culture and contemporary visual language, bringing these influences into his work.
Yiran Luo

CREATIVE
With an MFA in Film, Television and Digital Media from Hong Kong Baptist University, Yiran works across creative planning and storytelling for commercial projects. He brings a strong sensitivity to character, emotion and audience insight, developing ideas that feel grounded, relevant and distinct.
